Community Kids. is a non-profit community service program for students ages 10 to 17 designed to model the importance of community service by engaging in activities that make the community a better place. We are an incorporated 501(c) 3 non-profit organization serving Maryland.
Linkages to Learning threw an amazing holiday party that we were delighted to help host! It was a rewarding experience and my favorite part was seeing the kids faces as they received a bag of donated gifts after the dinner was complete. One of our Community Kids texted his Mom after the party and said “Mom, It was fun because i really didn’t understand how lucky we are. And some people have nothing. I loved seeing their faces when they got the presents. ” ….a simple comment from a 13 year old boy that spoke to the mission of Community Kids!
This is why I started this organization, so students can REALLY be a part of making a difference in the world, to see how much each of us can make even one person’s life a little easier and happier! Hopefully, they will take that into their adult life and continue to contribute to the world in equally positive ways!
